About the event
A talk by David Conway (HGO) about Handel’s opera, composed in 1709 to Cardinal Grimani’s libretto, and opera theatre in Venice in his period, on the occasion of the forthcoming production of Agrippina, to be performed in the original Italian and with a period orchestra, at Jackson’s Lane Theatre (13-21May). To follow, a recital of music from the opera, introduced by HGO’s production director Ashley Pearson and music director Thomas Payne.
